Kevin Hajjar Makes a Bold Move: Leaves AUBC for Van BC

The AABA Pro-Am basketball world was shaken by the news that Kevin Hajjar of Academy USA BC (AUBC) has decided to party ways former high school coach, Sako Balian — who coaches AUBC — to join the newly reformed AABA Pro-Am basketball team, Van BC. Hajjar’s decision marks a new chapter in his basketball career, as he takes a leap away after one season of action with Academy USA BC.

Hajjar’s high school career was nothing short of impressive. As a defensive powerhouse for Pilibos High School, he averaged 5.7 points per game, 4.7 assists per game, and 1.3 steals per game, making him one of the most impactful players on the court. With his skills and relentless drive, Hajjar quickly caught the attention of Van BC.

His move to Van BC marks an exciting opportunity for Hajjar to continue his growth as a player and showcase his skills on a familiar stage. He will join another well-spoken transfer, 3rd Team All-League awarded Narbeh Pezeshkian, on his journey to Van, making this a dynamic outcome to watch out for in the AABA Pro-Am Basketball League, set to start the 2023 Spring Season.

In a mutual agreement, all parties were satisfied and in good spirit regarding Hajjar’s transfer to Van BC. GM Shahe Kaprelian wished Hajjar all the best as he takes on this new challenge in the AABA Pro-Am, as Van BC Head Coach Mike Tavitian expressed his happiness for the addition of Kevin Hajjar.
